The surface mounted
low profile GPS 16 LVS/HVS has an integrated antenna housed in a rugged, waterproof design.
The 12-channel receiver allows for continuous tracking of all visible satellites.
And it's WAAS capable, which means it can provide position accuracy of less than
3 metres, without the use of an external DGPS beacon receiver.
The
GPS 16 is available in two configurations, the GPS 16 LVS provides a low voltage
solution, 3.3 to 6v DC, the GPS 16 HVS operates with an input voltage of 6 to
40v DC.
The
GPS16 puts out GPGGA, GPRMC, GPVTG, GPGSA, GPGSV, PGRMB, PGRME, PGRMF and PGRMT
sentences by default
The
GPS 16 provides an adjustable width, 1 Hz clock output. An RS-232 output port
is programmable for GARMIN binary or NMEA 0183 version 2.00 or 3.00. Serial input
is provided for RTCM SC-104 differential messages. Both configurations offer excellent
EMI/RFI performance for easy integration into systems that will be operated near
mobile computing devices and wireless communications equipment. Standard power/data
cable, foil-shielded 8 conductor, 28 AWG RJ-45, 5 meter length.
Once
installed, unit will automatically transmit navigation data. May be remotely
mounted in an out-of-the-way location. Power to the receiver may be controlled
by an on/off switch (not included). Receiver status information can be displayed
directly on a chartplotter or PC.
