Improve
productivity and efficiency in agricultural operations with Garmin's GPS 16A which
has been specifically designed for the ag industry.
This
WAAS-capable receiver has an update rate of 5 Hz, and can be used for a wide range
of farming activities, from precision planting to accurate yield monitoring. This
GPS sensor consists of an integrated antenna housed in a rugged, waterproof design.
It includes a TeflonT jacketed cable for resistance to agricultural chemicals,
sun, and the elements.
Mechanically,
the GPS 16A has larger wires than the GPS 16 series (22 AWG
rather than 28 AWG), fewer wires (5 rather than 8), a more chemical resistant
cable jacketing (Teflon rather than flexible PVC), a different color (white rather
than black) and a different cable termination (bare wire ends rather than RJ-45).
The color coding of the wires on the GPS16A is identical to the GPS16-LVS
and the GPS16-HVS, but the Yellow, Grey and Purple wires
are missing from the GPS16A. The GPS16A requires a power supply between 8 and
40 Vdc.
