The Garmin eTrex Venture Cx is a pocket-sized handheld mapping product - Garmin's entry level colour GPS navigator; providing a bright, sunlight-readable colour TFT display. The new eTrex Venture Cx is identical to the eTrex Legend Cx in both hardware and software design, but is not packaged with a microSD card, MapSource Trip and Waypoint Manager CD, PC/USB interface cable or bike mount adapter. The product is recommended for use with Garmin preprogrammed microSD cards, but maps from other MapSource products can be loaded if desired. Garmin preprogrammed microSD cards can be purchased to provide detail for Garmin's TOPO, BlueChart, Inland Lakes and European street mapping.

A (From Garmin): "If you buy an eTrex Venture Cx, you can go out and buy your own microSD card of any size you choose, then load it up with your choice of Mapsource maps by plugging the card into the eTrex Venture Cx and connecting the eTrex Venture Cx to your computer via a USB cable."

USER TIP: Lithium batteries are recommended for GPS use. If your eTrex Venture Cx shuts off when using fresh lithium batteries, try discharging the batteries in another device for a short time. Uninterrupted GPS use should then be assured.
