For the Americas, you also get a choice of incredible, built-in Lowrance Insight cartography with your model selection: Lake Insight for U.S. inland and Great Lakes; and Nautic Insight coverage for detailed U.S. coastal waters coverage. For areas other than the Americas, the HDS-5 will come preloaded with the Navionics World Background map. The HDS-5 also uses all Navionics chartcards – Navionics Silver, Platinum+, Platinum, Platinum HotMaps – with one high-speed SD card slots. Like all HDS models, it’s ready to build your complete stand-alone or networked onboard system.
