Key Differences
• SporTrak vs Meridian: Magellan SporTrak series units use fixed size internal memory for storage of additional map detail, the memory capacity of Meridian series units can be expanded with optional SD data cards which can also be used for storage of waypoint, route and track data.
• SporTrak Series: Within the SporTrak series, the major difference is in the built in map detail and the capacity for adding additional detail.
• Meridian Series: Within the Meridian series, one difference is in the amount of built in map detail. The Platinum adds a 3 axis electronic compass, barometer and temperature sensor; the Special Edition Canada bundle includes extra accessories at a reduced price. The new Meridian Color is the only Magellan model that has external antenna capability.
