TomTom unveils TomTom ONE 130/S and TomTom XL 330/S with new compact design and flexible, folding mount. The new TomTom models supersede the ONE 3rd Edition and TomTom ONE XL.

Note: The 'S' here denotes text-to-speech functionality, i.e. device will 'speak' the names of streets to you, in addition to distance prompts. 'XL' refers to screen size of 4.3" LCD. Ease of use. For installation TomTom has introduced a brand-new mounting solution - EasyPort™ - with the TomTom ONE 130/S and TomTom ONE XL 330/S. This new windshield mount has a unique, flexible design and can be left on the device and folded flat after use! The complete unit, including the mount, is then small enough to fit into a shirt pocket, bag or pocket when the driver leaves the vehicle.

New clearer audio. The TomTom XL 330/S are now equipped with a completely revised audio system so that navigation instructions are even more loud and clear at all times – even above outside traffic noise or a car full of excited children. A Text-to-speech ('S') model is also available so that users can hear street names, places, traffic alerts and text messages as part of the spoken instructions.

Truly compact and portable. The TomTom ONE 130/S comes with a 3.5 inch touch screen LCD, while the TomTom ONE XL 330/S boasts a 4.3 inch widescreen LCD, for those who prefer a larger display.

EasyPort™ mount. Once at their destination, the user can remove their GPS device quickly and easily, with one twist, when leaving their vehicle. The clever design allows the driver to fold away the mount neatly onto the TomTom device – and remove the entire unit, without having to worry about stowing the mount separately.

Safety as a priority. Independent safety research has shown the importance of audible navigation instructions to road safety. While both the TomTom ONE 130/S and TomTom ONE XL 330/S ranges have been redesigned, no compromise has been made on audio performance.

'Help Me!' - Emergency, Breakdown, Hospital, Car Repair Services. This feature gives users direct access to safety and emergency services information. The extensive ‘Help Me!’ menu includes information such as emergency and breakdown service numbers, directions to the nearest hospital and car repair service. Advanced safety preferences also allow the user to set their own requirements regarding speed warnings, timed driving breaks and menu accessibility options.

TomTom Map Share™
Users of the new TomTom devices will continue to benefit from TomTom’s unique Map Share technology, with millions of corrections and improvements uploaded and shared every month by the TomTom online user community. These can include changes in street names, road speed limits, turn restrictions, traffic directions and road blocks, as well as corrections to Points of Interest, such as phone numbers changes.

Map Share enables drivers to receive the corrections from other users or improve their own maps instantly on their device. TomTom has the world’s largest satellite navigation community with more than 20 million users, and Map Share means TomTom drivers can always have the most up-to-date maps and inside local knowledge at their fingertips.

Traffic-ready. The new TomTom ONE 130/S and TomTom ONE XL 330/S devices can offer the latest and most up-to-date traffic information with an optional RDS-TMC traffic receiver, available for purchase as an accessory.

Latest map guarantee. TomTom portable navigation devices are installed with the latest maps during production. However, customers can be assured that if a new map is released during the first 30 days of using their new device, they are entitled to a free download of the latest map, via TomTom HOME.
